ShockTrigger formed in 2014 when 3 long-time Twin Cities musicians (Tony Cortilet, Joel Friesen, and Andy Johnson) with varying musical influences joined forces to create original music. This group sets out to do things their own way and does not follow the standard rules applied to the music industry.
In 2023, ShockTrigger reunited with old friend friend and keyboard player Chris Kouri adding flash to their sound and solidifying the present lineup.
A live ShockTrigger show is a genuine performance with a hard rock edge. The songs are a collaboration of all 4 members producing a unique sound that is best experienced live.
